Privacy & Cookie Policy
Privacy
We do not use any sort of covert monitoring and we only ever have access to information that you choose to supply, if/when you contact us. Any such data is retained only for use in the provision of goods and services. Your data will not be transfered to any other entity without your explicit consent, unless required under law.
We do not seek or store data via use of this site, with the exception of that laid out below. Our hosting company monitors general levels of site traffic, via ISP addresses, but no attempt is made to identify individuals and the data is only used in aggregate form to manage and provide services.
The site uses a basic set of cookies for the purposes of enabling you to access our site.
What Are Cookies?
As is common practice with almost all professional websites this site uses cookies, which are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer, to improve your experience. This page describes what information they gather, how we use it and why we sometimes need to store these cookies. We will also share how you can prevent these cookies from being stored. However, this may downgrade or ‘break’ certain elements of the site’s functionality.
How We Use Cookies
Cookies are an intrinsic part of the WordPress™ platform, on which this site is built. As such we use cookies for a variety of uses linked to the functionality of the site. This site does not use any additional cookies to those intrinisic to WordPress™ and the basic traffic monitoring of our hosting company.
Unfortunately in most cases there are no industry standard options for disabling cookies without interferring with the functionality and features they add to this site. It is generally recommended that you leave on cookies if you are not sure whether you need them or not, in case they are used to provide a service that you use.
Disabling Cookies
You can prevent the setting of cookies by adjusting the settings on your browser (see your browser Help for how to do this). Be aware that disabling cookies will likely affect the functionality of the site.
The Cookies We Set
Site Preferences Cookies: In order to provide you with a great experience on this site cookies ‘remember’ your preferences so that this information can be called whenever your interaction with a page is affected by your preferences.
Third Party Cookies: WordPress™ uses cookies to facilitate the use of the website. WordPress™ is an open-source platform and most advanced functionality is provided through plugin vendors. When we are asked to share information via such third party plug-ins we decline but several still use cookies to function.
Our hosting company aggregates the traffic on our site via ISP information. No information is sought on individual visitors.
More Information
Hopefully that has clarified things for you and as, was previously mentioned, if there is something that you aren’t sure whether you need or not it’s usually safer to leave cookies enabled in case it does interfere with one of the features you use on our site.
If you are still looking for more information there are many more in-depth sources readily available online. You can contact us by email if you have any concerns or specific questions.
